The South Gippsland Dairy & Farming Expo (Dairy Expo) started in the millennium with the committee’s core objective to deliver a ‘one-stop-shop’ to local dairy farmers. So, if farmers were busy, they could visit the Dairy Expo, conduct their business quickly, and leave having spent a valuable couple of hours. Today, the event still has a dairy focus and the same core objectives: delivering a relevant and well-run event to the dairy industry.

The Dairy Expo provides an opportunity for members of the dairying fraternity to showcase the latest in dairy innovation and technology in an environment where everything is about agriculture, specifically the dairy industry.

South Gippsland is lucky to be the home of some exceptional dairy farming enterprises that form a significant part of our rural community. The Dairy Expo would not be a 25-year success story without its community and volunteers’ tremendous support and help.

Through its activities, the Lions Club of Strzelecki has distributed over $600K to community programs. All proceeds from this event will go back into the community to help make a difference.

Planning for 2024

This year, the South Gippsland Dairy & Farming Expo celebrates 25 years as a premier dairy industry event. The Dairy Expo will host an event that empowers like-minded dairy people to reunite and celebrate why they are passionate about the Australian dairy industry.

Our year has started with fantastic support from 18 sponsors.  We will see the return of our Udder Truth Showbag Competition and our Gumboot Gift foot race. Matt Harms is in the planning phase of his entertaining session, so keep an eye out for updates.

The event will be promoted extensively through national and regional news platforms via social media-based applications. So, let’s unite and stand proud to deliver a professional event that showcases the best products and services in the dairy and farming industry of Gippsland.

Mark it in your diary now and join us in Korumburra on Wednesday, September 4th, and Thursday, September 5th 2024.
