DESCRIPTION:The next presentation in the climate webinar series for 2020 will focus on the impacts of climate on water supplies and availability\, and risks to water resources in Victoria. \nHydrology and climate specialist Geoff Steendam will provide an update on the Victorian Water and Climate Initiative. The initiative supports research into the impact of climate change and climate variability on Victoria’s water resources. This includes three distinct\, but related\, research projects undertaken with the University of Melbourne\, the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO. \nGeoff Steendam manages the hydrology and climate science team in the Victorian Department of Environment\, Land\, Water and Planning. The team serves as a knowledge broker for the Victorian water sector\, investing in targeted research and working with the sector to help apply the knowledge.
